چکیده
This article investigates the influence of frequency on field-dependent non-linear rheology magnetorheological (MR) grease under large amplitude oscillatory shear (LAOS). First, LAOS tests with different driving frequencies were conducted MR at four magnetic fields, and storage loss moduli 0.1, 0.5, 1, 5 Hz compared to obtain an overall understanding frequency-dependent viscoelastic behavior grease. Based this, three-dimensional (3D) Lissajous curves decomposed stress two typical depicted provide elastic viscous behavior. Finally, measures containing higher harmonics from Fourier transform (FT)-Chebyshev analysis used quantitatively interpret grease, namely, strain stiffening (softening) thickening (thinning), fields. It was found that, application field, onset frequency-dependent. However, when increased in post-yield region, MRG-70 not affected by frequency.

Shear viscosity and nonlinear behavior of whole blood under large amplitude oscillatory shear.
We investigated experimentally the rheological behavior of whole human blood subjected to large amplitude oscillatory shear under strain control to assess its nonlinear viscoelastic response. In these rheological tests, the shear stress response presented higher harmonic contributions, revealing the nonlinear behavior of human blood that is associated with changes in its internal microstructure...
متن کاملRheo-PIV of a Shear-Banding Wormlike Micellar Solution under Large Amplitude Oscillatory Shear
We explore the behavior of a wormlike micellar solution under both steady and large amplitude oscillatory shear (LAOS) in a cone–plate geometry through simultaneous bulk rheometry and localized velocimetric measurements. First, particle image velocimetry is used to show that the shear banded profiles observed in steady shear are in qualitative agreement with previous results for flow in the con...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of a drop undergoing large amplitude oscillatory shear
The study of drop deformation in a time-dependent flow has received less attention compared to elongational and shear flows (Rallison 1984; Stone 1994; Li et al. 2000). One class of time-dependent flow, which can be achieved experimentally and analyzed numerically is that of an initially spherical drop, which deforms in response to an applied oscillatory shear. Figure 1 shows a schematic of the...
متن کاملLarge amplitude oscillatory shear properties of human skin.
Skin is a complex multi-layered tissue, with highly non-linear viscoelastic and anisotropic properties. Thus far, a few studies have been performed to directly measure the mechanical properties of three distinguished individual skin layers; epidermis, dermis and hypodermis. These studies however, suffer from several disadvantages such as skin damage due to separation, and disruption of the comp...
متن کاملnon-linear study of various slit shear walls in steel structures
seismic retrofit strategies have been developed in the past few decades following the introduction of new seismic provisions and the availability of advanced materials and methods. it can be observed that new approaches to deal with more lateral forces are more innovative and more energy absorbent. in line with this, there is a growing trend toward the use of steel shear walls as a system with ...
